Shapeways has just launched a free online application that turns digital photographs into 3D printable objects.
With Photoshaper we have empowered the average consumer to tap into technologies that used to be out of reach."

You can choose 2 layouts: portrait and landscape, whether you like it to be vertical or horizontal.
You can upload an image from your computer and adjust it, having also 2 options for its appearance, that are shown here:
When the 3D photo is lightened, it shows all its beauty. This can be done, for example, placing a candle behind it, or a light bulb.
The 3D photo will be produced and delivered globally within 10 days and costs between $40-50 (USD), including shipping (you can pay by Paypal).
Photoshaper accepts JPEG, PNG and GIF images (for best results use 1.5 megapixel or better which is supported by most digital cameras).
The size of the 3D photo is 13cm – 9cm (5.11” – 3.5”) landscape and portrait.
Go and test Photoshaper, and get a very original product for your home.
