Obsessive Ink announced the launch of the world's first tattoo preview website using 3D technology from Evolver that provides users with a full 3D virtual representation of a tattoo on their body. As part of the launch Obsessive Ink is offering a free trial of the service for one week, until midnight PDT, April 22, 2010 by using the code inklaunch.
Bringing together the latest in 3D web technology and one of the oldest forms of art in human history, Obsessive Ink caters to all tattoo enthusiasts - even first timers. Obsessive Ink's site provides an easy to use online platform allowing consumers to create realistic 3D avatars by uploading a passport style photo. Once an avatar is generated users can upload multiple tattoo designs that can be customized and positioned anywhere on the avatar's body.
With this system any jpeg image can be uploaded and previewed as a tattoo. Whether it's a photo of a family member, favorite sporting team or famous piece of art, users can resize their design, rotate it or incorporate additional elements until they are completely satisfied with the results.
