The Shapeways.com Co-Create Christmas Contest, which began on November 3, 2009, challenged the Shapeways community of Co-Creators to think outside the box to design one-of-a-kind Christmas inspired items. The contest, which just ended Friday, December 4th 2009, produced an array of unique and exciting items, perfect for any last minute gift giving needs.
Winners of the contest, in first, second and third places are:
- RK101 also known as Robert Kane for his design, Punk Angel
- Felix Gfeller, FX2 for his Snowflake Candle Holder design.
- GHP, Gillian Posey with a Snowflake Ornament
The winner, Robert Kane, created the “Punk Angel,” a wonderfully whimsical and fun Christmas angel holding a customizable size. Perfect as a gift or holiday table setting, the “Punk Angel” is available in White Strong & Flexible, Black Strong & Flexible, Grey Robust and premium plastics in blue jeans blue, terracotta, and limestone. ($20 and up)
The Snowflake Ornament designed by GHP, Gillian Posey, is available in White Strong & Flexible and premium plastics in blue jeans blue, terracotta and limestone. The ornament features intricate snowflake details and can be completely customized with a special message or your loved ones name, a great gift to add to anyone’s Christmas tree. ($25 and up)
