Shapeways and Bonzai3D are running a contest together: a 3D modeling and printing contest.

These are the rules: 

• All models must be created with bonzai3d and tagged b3d. If you don’t have bonzai3d, DOWNLOAD the free trial version at http://www.bonzai3d.com
• Follow these instructions when you prepare your model for 3D printing at http://www.shapeways.com/tutorials/things-to-keep-in-mind
• Upload your modtel/s at http://www.shapeways.com/register
• All models will be visible in a gallery at http://www.shapeways.com/themes/bonzai3d
• A jury made up of Shapeways & AutoDesSys Executives will decide the winners
• All winners will be announced September 30, 2009.

And the prizes:

1st Prize   
$300 3D print of your model +  form•Z RenderZone Plus -Prize valued at $1,800

2nd Prize 
$200 3D print of your model + bonzai3d – Prize valued at $700

3rd Prize
